The 2010 Chevy Impala requires dexron vi transmission fluid. To replace the transmission fluid, start by ensuring the car is parked on a level surface and then open the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, which is typically near the transmission, and find the dipstick. Remove the dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, and then pull it back out to check the fluid level. Take note of how much fluid is needed to fill the container to the appropriate level. Use a funnel to fill the reservoir with fluid until it reaches the full mark or just under. Avoid overfilling. Close the reservoir and you're all set.
