In 2000, the Chevy Tracker was available with either an automatic transmission as standard, or you could opt for a manual transmission. For the standard 0372LE automatic, you'll need to use dexron VI Automatic transmission fluid. The capacity required is 7.5 US quarts, with an initial fill of 3 US quarts. If your model is equipped with a manual transmission, you'll need to use 5W-30 manual transmission fluid. Any brand is acceptable as long as it meets the 5W-30 specifications. The total capacity needed is 4 pints. Both models have small fluid capacities, so a fluid change at a shop shouldn't cost much.
To perform a transmission flush or refill your 2000 Chevy Tracker, you'll require synthetic 20w Dexron VI fluid.
