In order to maintain safe visibility at night while driving, it is crucial to ensure that the high beams on your Hyundai Elantra are functioning properly. Common causes for high beam failure include a blown fuse and a loose wire. It is essential to promptly address these issues, as the repercussions of driving with non-functional lights can be severe, potentially leading to accidents. Over time, various problems such as corrosion, faulty wiring, premature light burnout, blown fuses, and failed relays may arise. It is important to swiftly address these issues to avoid further complications. If your light bulbs start to dim or fail, replacing them promptly is recommended. Fortunately, replacement bulbs are relatively inexpensive and will not put a strain on your finances.

After extensive online research and numerous attempts of dismantling my wife's car, I believe I may have finally discovered the solution! The Hyundai Elantra uses a single filament bulb with a specific shield mechanism that covers part of it when the low beams are on, and then lifts out of the way for the high beams. The actuator motor controlling the lights is connected to a small plastic gear that tends to wear out at the point where the metal pin inserts, causing it to malfunction. As a result, the shield may fail to lift up fully, leading to confusion where the dashboard indicates high beams are on due to the relay engaging the pin but the actual high beams do not work. I hope this information proves valuable to others facing a similar issue, and that nobody has to endure the same challenges I faced in diagnosing this problem. Best of luck to all!

I have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition and recently came across this discovery while investigating another problem. The headlights in my car require a 905/HB3 bulb, which is a single filament bulb that only lights up at a single setting. This puzzled me because I couldn't understand why the high beams weren't working. When I tried to turn on the high beams, I heard a brief buzzing noise. Eventually, I realized that there is a small cover or hood inside the headlight housing that shields the top portion of the beam. This cover is down when the high beams are off, and up when they are on. So, if your bulbs are functioning properly in low beam mode but your high beams aren't working, there could be an issue with the motor that lifts the cover or the wiring that controls it.

I've discovered that the issue with the headlights not functioning properly is a common issue with Hyundai vehicles. Even after replacing the bulbs, relay, and fuses without success, my headlights still won't work. After spending money on repairs, I'm frustrated that the problem persists and I may need to invest in replacing a switch. I'm continuing to troubleshoot to find a solution that won't break the bank.

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with both of my high beams not working on my 2019 Hyundai Elantra value edition. When I try to turn them on, the light projection on a wall shows some movement in the front lens, but the high beams do not actually activate. I'm not sure if I need a new bulb or if there's another problem causing this. I checked for any recalls on the car but didn't find anything. I'm hoping to get this fixed without spending a ton of money.

If the high beam lights on your Hyundai Elantra are not functioning, it is often due to a problem with the light bulb.

I had the same problem with my 2019 Elantra happen twice. I had to get the wiring harness replaced on both occasions. Hopefully, this information is useful!

In the current models of 2019 and 2020 cars, the headlights themselves are not the problem; it's actually the wiring that is being recalled. If you can locate an honest dealership, they should be able to help you with this issue.

I've encountered the same problem with my 2019 Elantra value edition. I'm having to replace both headlight assemblies due to what appears to be a wiring issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue. The dealership where I purchased my car promised to provide free repairs if anything went wrong. However, they have been avoiding me completely. As a result, I decided to post a review on the Better Business Bureau website.

Oh no, my daughter's 2019 car is experiencing the same problems she traded her 2016 car for. She had to get the brake lights fixed on the 2016 one due to a recall, and now the headlights on the 2019 car are acting up.

I own a 2020 Hyundai Elantra that I purchased brand new with only 23 miles on it from Carter County Hyundai in Ardmore, Oklahoma on October 14, 2019. I have been living in Oklahoma since then. I raised concerns about my headlights at least three times with the dealership before contacting Hyundai Manufacturers. Both parties suggested it might be the bulbs I put in. On November 11, 2022, I went back to the dealership to complain about my headlights again. The service manager, Dee, initially thought it was the bulbs, but after testing, he found out it wasn't. I insisted that my car should be part of the recall for Hyundai Elantras experiencing similar issues, but he informed me that my VIN was not included in the recall. Frustrated, I missed my appointment on November 15 because I couldn't afford the diagnostic fee. I called Hyundai, and they also said there were no recalls for Elantras, which I found unbelievable. I have been fighting with them to take responsibility for the problem, as my car was new when I bought it and should not be experiencing these issues. They keep insisting that I have to pay for repairs first, and any reimbursement would depend on the dealership's findings. I have been avoiding driving at night because the headlights don't project far enough or bright enough, even after trying different bulbs.

I'm experiencing the same problem right now. Are you facing it with just one headlight or both? My high beams aren't working at the moment, and my lights look quite dim. I'm waiting for the replacements to arrive but wanted to know if it's the same for all of you with one light or both.

Kimberly, have you figured out the root of the problem yet? I'm facing the same issue.
