If the puddle lights on your Dodge Ram are not working, the first step would be to check the bulbs. If they appear to be burnt out, you'll need to replace them. If the issue persists, you can then inspect the fuse box for a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Using a screwdriver or prybar, carefully open this panel. Inside, you'll find various fuses. Refer to the diagram on the back of the panel to identify the fuse corresponding to the puddle lights. If the diagram is not present, you can find it in the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you've located the correct fuse, remove it for inspection. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections is intact. If it's broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the strip is undamaged, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around $10.
