In a newer Ford F-150, there is a design feature where the engine shuts off when the vehicle is not moving and restarts when you release the brake. Some may find this feature inconvenient, especially in heavy city traffic. If your vehicle does not have this feature and you are experiencing idle performance issues, it could be due to problems with the throttle body and idle air control solenoid. You can clean these components with carburetor spray and a microfiber cloth to see if the issue improves.

If your F-150 is having issues stalling when stopping, it may be due to an overly oiled filter or a failing IAC that requires cleaning.
