If the radio in a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 isn't producing any sound, it's likely that the fuse connected to the speakers has burnt out. To access the fuse box, look to the left side of the steering wheel for a small opening or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to gently open this panel. Inside, you will see several fuses. On the back of the panel, there should be a diagram that indicates the function of each fuse. If the diagram isn't present, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you locate the appropriate fuse, carefully remove it. Check for a thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse. If this strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still in working condition and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are typically inexpensive, costing around $10.
