Why is there an oil leak in the Ford Transit engine?

If the Ford Transit is leaking oil, it could indicate a few things. If you recently changed the oil and there is a smell of burning oil, you may have overfilled it, causing the excess to spill out. Additionally, a crack in the oil pan or oil line could also result in a leak. It is important to identify the source of the leak and have it repaired, as low oil levels can lead to the car malfunctioning. After fixing the issue, be sure to refill the oil in the car as well. When performing an oil change on the vehicle, ensure that it has been parked and turned off for a few hours to allow the oil to cool down. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and find the drain plug underneath it. Place a bucket beneath the plug and remove it to let the oil drain out. Wait until the dripping stops, which may take around an hour. After the oil has drained, replace the drain plug and find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel, making sure not to overfill it, as this can cause leaks and oil burn off. Close the port once the oil is at the correct level, clean up any spills, and you are done.
