There are a couple of reasons why the key fob for your FIAT 500 might stop functioning. The most common reason is likely that the small battery inside it, typically a 3.3-volt lithium CR2032, has died. You should be able to easily find a replacement for under $3. If the battery in your vehicle is too low, the remote entry key may not work either. You can either recharge or replace the battery in this case. Occasionally, the key fob may lose synchronization with your FIAT. If this happens, you'll need to visit the dealer to have it reprogrammed or follow the instructions in your manual. To check if the issue is with the key or the car, you can test it with another key fob.
Issues with the key fob on a FIAT 500 are typically the result of a battery running out of power.
I changed the batteries in the key fob, but it's still not being detected.
