If the Audi TT's key fob isn't working, it might be due to loose wiring, a dead battery, or needing to be reprogrammed. To fix this, open the fob, replace the battery with a new 3-volt one, and reprogram it using the valet or master key to lock and unlock the vehicle with the remote buttons. Then manually lock and unlock the door with the key within 1 minute of pressing the remote buttons. Repeat this process multiple times, making sure to always keep the passenger door unlocked. If the fob still doesn't sync, try adding an extra remote lock and unlock step before manually locking and unlocking the door.
One of the top reasons why the key fob stops working on the first-generation Audi TT is because the battery inside the key fob has died.
