The Mercedes air freshener might not be functioning properly due to low fragrance levels, a clogged filter, or an issue with the climate control system. Certain Mercedes-Benz models feature the Air Balance system, which not only purifies the air in the vehicle using charcoal filters and an ionizer but also allows for direct introduction of fragrances into the climate control system. To refill the purifier, you will need to use a razor knife to remove the adhesive around the glass or scored bottle. This will allow you to easily unscrew the bottle and refill it. Ensure that the bottle is empty and clean before adding a new fragrance to avoid any lingering scents from the previous fill.
