Certainly! The GMC Sierra comes equipped with a standard backup camera. If the camera is not functioning, there are three main reasons for this issue. Firstly, the camera may have been damaged by road debris, requiring repairs. Secondly, a faulty power wire may be causing the problem. The most common reason is that the fuse powering the system may have burnt out. The fuse box is located to the left of the steering wheel under a removable panel. Look for the seam to access it. Fuses are inexpensive and simple to replace, costing around 10 to 15 dollars, so you should be able to fix it easily.

My rearview camera acts up, working on and off, especially when I really need it. It displays a warning symbol showing a triangle with an exclamation mark and a camera icon with a slash through it.

Can you tell me how you went about updating the software?

Several typical causes for the malfunction of the GMC Sierra camera include a faulty fuse, defective switch or wiring, and issues with the connection. Since cameras are electronic devices, a software malfunction could also result in a blank screen or the display of only backup guidelines without an image appearing.

Make sure to look at the spoiler located on the back of the taxi where the brake light is situated. I'm willing to bet it's filled with water. That's where the module for the cameras is located.

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra SLT with a factory-installed mirror-mounted camera display. The camera would work sporadically, sometimes displaying a dark image followed by glitches. After leaving my truck parked for 5 days, I returned to find the display not working, with only a flashing green light in the bottom left-hand corner of the mirror. I checked the connection by unplugging and cleaning it, but that didn't help. I then inspected the #43 fuse under the hood and the backup fuse (#15), both of which were intact. I have since ordered a new camera in hopes of resolving the issue. I'm wondering if there is a separate fuse for the display or if it is part of the entire system. Although I noticed that the spare fuse had been used before I purchased the truck, the wiring appears undamaged. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Consider updating your software. It was effective in my case.

I accessed my entertainment system and updated the software, but it didn't solve the camera problems. The only solution was to turn it off for around 10 minutes and then restart it. I also checked all the fuses, specifically on the passenger side, and they all appear to be in good condition. I'm unsure about the next steps to take.

Where can I download the software update? I attempted to do it using my home wifi, but it indicated that the latest software is already installed. Suddenly, a blue screen with lines appeared, and the device hasn't been functional since then.

The fuse number for the camera in my Sierra 3500 is 33, and it is a 10-amp fuse.

I had a similar problem with my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. I went under the truck, followed the wires, and discovered that the receiver wire had come disconnected. The connection doesn't seem very secure, so it might happen again down the road.
