If your 2009 Lincoln MKZ's heated seats are not functioning, there are a few common issues to consider. One possibility is that the heater element is burnt out, but it is more likely that the fuse is faulty. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to carefully open this panel. Inside, you will see multiple fuses. On the back of the panel, there should be a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If this information is not on the back of the panel, you can also find it in the owner's manual for the vehicle. Once you identify the fuse you need, simply pull it out. A functional fuse will have a thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse is defective and should be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are typically inexpensive, costing around $10.

If the seat warmers in the 2009 Lincoln MKZ are not functioning, the issue may stem from a blown fuse, faulty wiring beneath the seat, or a malfunctioning thermostat.

I'm not familiar with your car model, but mine does not have a panel to the left of the steering wheel.

It is located near the pedals on the left side. Mine did not blow a fuse; the lights went off for a bit, then came back on, and now they are off again. I'm really stumped trying to figure it out.
