The OBDII port on the Ford Transit may stop functioning if the wiring to the port is disconnected or damaged, or if a fuse in the van has blown. You can check if the port is working by connecting a scan tool to a different power source, like a computer. The interior light fuse #72 provides power to the OBD port. If the issue persists, try replacing this fuse. If the wiring and electrical plug are in working order, then the port itself may need to be replaced. You can typically find the OBDII port under the steering wheel on the lower left side of the dash panel in the Ford Transit. To access the fuse box, remove the panel below the steering wheel. The fuse box is located to the right of the driver's knee and includes diagrams for plug placement.
