The Jeep Grand Cherokee's push button start may experience issues if the fuel is running low or if there's a problem with the key fob battery. If the key fob's battery is weak or dead, it will prevent the push button start from working. A technical service bulletin (TSB 08-120-15) from December 05, 2015, advises replacing wiring harnesses in 2014-2016 Jeep Cherokee models. These faulty harnesses can lead to sporadic starting problems and malfunctioning instrument cluster lights. Additionally, a blown fuse, like the M27 fuse located in the engine bay, could be the cause of ignition failures. It's also important to note that pressing the brake pedal firmly is necessary for the keyless start system to activate properly.

If the push-button ignition is not functioning in your Jeep Cherokee, you may want to consider changing the battery in your key fob and pressing the brake pedal more firmly when starting the vehicle.

I've changed the battery in the key fob. The issue occurs when I attempt to start the Jeep using the key fob that is not functioning.

The "acc" feature is no longer available on my Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The push-to-start system now only displays the "off" and "run" options. I'm unsure about the recent change.

I own a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that occasionally has issues with over-cranking. I initially thought the starter was the problem and replaced it, but it turned out the issue persisted. I then purchased a new alternator, even though the existing one in the car was still functioning fine. The mechanic told me the vehicle didn't over-crank when they inspected it, but prior to my visit to the shop, it did. They suggested it could be a problem with the push start button, possibly due to dust accumulation. What could be causing this issue?

My battery is not the issue; it's brand new. A tow technician arrived to assist me, but the problem lies elsewhere.
