If the radio in your Kia Picanto is not functioning, it could be due to a faulty wire or a malfunctioning alternator. However, before investigating those issues, it is recommended to first check the fuse, as that is likely the problem. To access the fuse box under the car's hood, you will need to open the hood and secure it in place. On the right side of the engine compartment, you will find a black box with a seam around it. Opening this box will reveal the fuse inside. The inside of the box lid will have a diagram showing which fuse corresponds to what component. If the diagram is not on the back of the box, you can refer to the car's owner's manual. Once you identify the defective fuse, remove it. A functional fuse will have a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses typically cost around $10 each, making them an affordable solution.
