I discovered that I couldn't increase the volume of my 2018 Chevy Equinox past level 20. Instead of taking it to the dealership and likely being charged a lot of money, I decided to unplug the radio receiver located on the passenger side near the glove box. After plugging it back in, everything returned to normal with a bang.

You can mute the audio by pressing the volume control button once. Hold the button for 3 seconds to turn it off completely.

In the beginning of 2020, my Equinox had a strange issue where the radio was on but had no volume, Spotify was playing on the dashboard screen but without sound, and the blinker wasn't making any noise. I tried various things to fix it without success. Finally, I decided to park the car, turn it off, walk away with my FOB key about 50 feet, return after a few minutes, start the car again, and then I could hear the starting dings immediately. I checked the blinker and it was working fine. It was a relief to have resolved the problem! :)
