If the USB port in your Honda Civic isn't functioning properly, there are two easy steps to troubleshoot the issue. Firstly, check the port itself for any damage or debris such as lint or dust. If that's not the problem, you'll need to inspect the fuse box near the steering wheel. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack on the left side of the steering wheel dash, and carefully pry it open using a screwdriver or prybar. Inside, you'll find a series of fuses with a diagram on the back of the panel indicating their functions. If the diagram isn't there, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the fuse related to the USB port and check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections is intact. If the strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced; otherwise, it can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically around $10.
