Henry Ford founded Cadillac in 1902, and was kicked out of his own company for mismanagement. General Motors bought the company in 1909, positioning it as their most luxurious model line. They backed their claim of being the “Standard of the World” with several firsts, including the first synchromesh transmission and the first dual plane V8. After WWII, Harley Earl's radical designs made Cadillac America's most desirable luxury brand. The brand floundered in the 80s and 90s, before finding its footing with the massively successful Escalade SUV and a shift from land yachts to sporty luxury cars. Today, the brand is best known for its luxury SUVs and high performance “V” sports sedans.
Buying any car is a big decision, especially if it's a luxury car. Take the stress out of your next purchase by using the VIN decoder Cadillac drivers turn to for accurate information: EpicVIN. Our Cadillac VIN lookup decodes each character, telling you when and where the vehicle was built, as well as its standard equipment.
For over four decades, all vehicles in the U.S. have been issued a 17 digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number.) The VIN is unique to each vehicle, so it's used as an ID on official documents. However, it's more than a serial number. Most of the VIN number is used to identify manufacturing details. Our Cadillac VIN number lookup tells you what these characters mean, so you can verify the vehicle you're looking at is authentic.
Worried about buying a lemon? Order a VIN report. As an official NMVTIS source, we're able to access government and commercial databases, allowing us to create a full history of the vehicle. This includes vehicle owner lookup for the current owner, accident reports, title changes and more. With this information, you can avoid cars with issues like outstanding liens and salvage titles.
Why should you run VIN checks when you're shopping for your next ride? VIN numbers are issued by Cadillac at the factory, providing an easy way to authenticate vehicles. This helps you narrow down your search to cars with the equipment you want. This is especially important for valuable models like Cadillac's “V” cars, which unscrupulous owners may try to fake.
Don't forget we do more than Cadillacs. EpicVIN's search tools let you look up any highway-legal vehicle. so you can use our site to run an ATV, RV, heavy duty truck or motorcycle VIN check.

What can you learn about a car using our Cadillac VIN decoder? Here are some example VINs you can try with our search engine.
