The Chrysler 300 is equipped with a single fuel pump, which integrates the fuel filter. Typically, you'll find this pump on the vehicle’s underside, connected to the fuel rail. Accessing it is straightforward, as it’s secured by just a couple of easily removable bolts. Replacement costs generally range from $200 to $800. However, in some instances, the filter and pump are located inside the gas tank. If that’s the situation, you would need to replace the entire gas tank to replace the pump, although you can still replace the filter externally. The cost for this is similar, possibly a few hundred dollars more. If the pump begins to fail, you might experience difficulty accelerating or even find that the car won't start due to insufficient fuel delivery.
The Chrysler 300 comes with both a primary and an auxiliary fuel pump.
I replaced the fuel pump on the driver’s side, but the car still won't start. What might be the problem now?
I encountered the same issues. I had to swap out the pump on the passenger side, and I found a hole in the line leading to the driver's side. Everything's been running smoothly since.
Does the 2016 Chrysler 300 with a 3.6L engine come equipped with dual fuel pumps?
Inspect the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor.
Look beneath the engine to verify if fuel is being supplied by the sending unit situated under the rear seat on the passenger side. If needed, clean or replace the filter.
I'm experiencing the same issue. I replaced the pump on the driver's side, but it still won't start.
