If you own a Volkswagen Tiguan made between 2008 and 2017 and are having issues with your headlights, you can locate the fuse for them on the instrument panel fuse box near your left knee. The left headlight fuse is number 12 with a 10 Amp rating, and the right headlight fuse is number 16 with 10 amps. Ensure that each fuse is correctly installed and test your headlights afterwards to check if the problem is resolved. If your headlights still do not work, you can purchase replacement fuses for around $3 to $10, either online or at a nearby auto parts store. To replace them, gently grasp and pull out the old fuses, then insert the new ones by carefully pushing them into place.
The 2011 VW Tiguan I own has never had a fuse in position #12, yet the headlamp functioned properly until about a week ago. Despite checking all the fuses and replacing the bulb, the low beam still doesn't work on either side. Some suggest checking the #12 fuse in the dashboard fuse box, while others mention a 30A fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. It's puzzling - could using overly bright bulbs have led to a possible short circuit elsewhere? It's unclear whom to trust for accurate advice on this issue.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the correct fuse for the right headlight on a 2018 Tiguan Allspace? Thanks in advance!
The fuse for the headlight of the Volkswagen Tiguan can be found on the front part of the dashboard, close to the door.
Hey Rick, did you ever figure this out? I'm facing a similar issue. Adding to the complication, this morning I thought I'd check if any fuses were blown, so I removed them randomly but put them back in the same spots. Now, my car won't start. Any help is greatly appreciated! You can reach me at [email protected].
Rick, did you ever get your problem fixed? I'm experiencing the same issue and noticed that slot #12 also had no fuse.
