Many Ford Edge drivers have raised concerns about moisture buildup in the rear light bar of their 2017 model. Ford clarifies that a slight mist inside is normal, but excessive condensation in the form of puddles or streaks may indicate an issue. If you find yourself in this situation, or if your problem is different, stay tuned for guidance on removing the rear light bar from the cargo area. Start by releasing and removing the liftgate upper center trim panel and the grab handle cover. Then, take out the liftgate grab handle screws and the lower and side liftgate trim panels together. Release the retainers on both sides of the side liftgate trim panel, along with the middle ones. Disconnect the power liftgate switch if your vehicle has one. Next, release the clips and remove the liftgate side trim panels to access the light bar's retaining clips. Once these are removed, the cover should come off easily.
