In the Honda Accord, the anti-theft system is meant to shut down the vehicle, but there are occasions where you might have to bypass it. For instance, if you forget to deactivate it before changing the battery, the alarm will sound when the battery is connected, disabling the car. Resetting the system is easy and doesn't require any tools apart from your key. First, turn the key in the driver's side door lock to unlock, then back to lock. Turn it to unlock again, and this should disable the alarm. Start the engine and let it run for at least 10 minutes to fully reset the system. Finally, turn the ignition off, and you're good to go.
