The location of the cabin air filter in the 2013 Chevy Avalanche can be found behind the glove box. Dealing with excessive heat and feeling sweaty is never enjoyable, which is why it's crucial for the air conditioner to be functioning properly. Over time, issues may arise with this component. Sweating can result from a Freon leak, while an unpleasant odor emanating from the vents can disrupt your comfort. Problems such as a loose fan, an inaccurate thermostat, or a faulty motor may occur. Annoying noises could also be produced by the air conditioner, potentially caused by loose mounting bolts or a noisy compressor due to excessive Freon. Addressing these issues promptly is essential to prevent frustration and maintain your sanity.

When I asked the dealer, they mentioned that certain Avalanche models may not come with a replaceable filter. My 2013 Black Diamond model doesn't have one, and I checked behind the glove compartment myself. The dealer explained that Chevy chose to save money by using a wire mesh in the air path at some stage of the design process.
Not everyone's filter is replaceable. Mine is a sealed 2013 black diamond model.
In the 2013 Chevy Avalanche, you'll find the cabin air filter positioned behind the glove compartment.
Not every car comes with a cabin filter. I own a 2013 Black Diamond model, and it doesn't have one. I even looked under the glove compartment, where it would typically be located, but mine is sealed shut for some reason. I'm not sure why there is this variation in design.
In 2007 and later models of the Avalanche, there was no cabin filter included.
