The cabin air filter in the 2012 Ford F-250 can be found under the car's hood, enclosed in a white box with a distinctive red frame. Over time, the white filter may take on a brownish hue due to dirt accumulation. Its main function is to prevent road debris and dust from entering the car's cabin. Failure to replace it on schedule can lead to dust entering the climate control system. A replacement filter typically costs around $50, and having a mechanic install it can add another $50 to $75 to the total cost.
Does the 2012 F250 equipped with a 6.7-liter diesel engine have a cabin air filter? I have been unable to locate it.
Can anyone tell me if my 2012 F250 Lariat is equipped with a cabin air filter?
My 2012 F-250 Super Duty with a 6.7 engine doesn't have that feature!
My Ford F-250 from 2012 does not come equipped with a cabin air filter.
How to replace a filter
The cabin air filter can be found on the right side beneath the dashboard behind the glove compartment in a car.
My 2012 F250 6.7 heavy-duty truck doesn't come equipped with a cabin air filter.
My 2012 Ford F250 with a 6.7-liter engine does not come equipped with a cabin air filter.
That statement is completely untrue. The absence of a cabin filter in the 2011-2016 F250/350 models is a major drawback for them.
While the F250 truck doesn't come with cabin air filters, if your seats have heaters, there are filters located underneath each seat. I recently replaced mine for the first time. To access them, slide the seats forward and tilt them forward. The filters are housed in a circular container - just twist and remove them.
