To start, make sure you get a new heater core for your 2000 Ford F-250 if you haven't already. You can purchase one for about $45 from O'Reilly's or a similar store. The core for your vehicle will measure 7.5 inches wide by 7.75 inches high and 2 inches deep. Begin by opening your glove box and taking out the screws that hold the cover in place; an 8 mm wrench will be needed for this step. Once the cover is removed, you'll have access to the heater core. When removing it, be cautious with the plastic connectors: press the white tabs while gently pulling to release the core. After it slides out, you can install the new one.
