If you're having power steering issues with your 2015 GMC Acadia, it may be due to low power steering fluid. To replace the fluid, start by locating the clear plastic container under the hood near the window. Use a pump to remove all the fluid from the container. As the fluid level decreases, turn the steering wheel from one side to the other to allow the remaining fluid to drain into the container. Ensure the container is completely dry before refilling it up to the full line, but don't overfill it. It may take some time for the steering wheel to loosen up, so take a test drive for about 20 minutes to verify that the fix was successful.
If you notice that the power steering in your 2015 GMC Acadia feels overly difficult or excessively loose when turning, it could be necessary to inspect the levels of power steering fluid or consider replacing the steering box.
