You attempt to start your 2016 Ford Escape, but then realize that the battery in your key fob has run out of power. To fix this issue, you'll need to buy a new 3-volt battery. The good news is that you can easily replace the battery yourself. Start by taking out the physical key from the bottom of the fob. Then, with a small screwdriver, remove the back cover. Carefully remove the old battery, replace it with the new one, and put the cover back on. Reinsert the key into the designated slot. Finally, test the buttons to lock/unlock your doors or start your engine.
