The TPMS on Your 2009 Chevy HHR is there to let You know if any tires are not properly inflated, which could lead to tires wearing out fast, tire failure, and driving in unsafe conditions. Resetting the TPMS is quick and easy. Simply turn the ignition to the "ON" position (but don't start the car) and engage the parking brake. Keep pressing the "Info" button until You see "Tire Learn" on the display. Next, press the "Set/Reset" button until You hear a double horn chirp to enter learn mode. Adjust the air pressure in each tire until You hear another horn chirp. That's it, You've finished the process, and the TPMS has been reset successfully.
To recalibrate the tire pressure sensor on a 2009 Chevy HHR, press and hold the tune/display button for 8 seconds to access the settings menu. Then, use the seek button to navigate to the "tire mon" option and press the 1 button repeatedly until the reset message shows up.
I tested out both options but I couldn't locate the TPMS button. I tried both holding onto the information reset and setting it, but nothing worked.
