Common issues include a malfunctioning heater core or fan motor, which can be caused by mechanical damage or faulty wiring. However, the most frequent culprit is a burnt-out fuse located near the steering wheel. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel and search for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find several fuses with a diagram on the back showing their functions. If the diagram is not present, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the faulty fuse and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. A new fuse typically costs around $10.
