The trouble code P0011 means that the camshaft on Bank 1 is over-advanced, as detected by the ECM. This could be due to issues with failing camshaft and crankshaft sensors, a stuck or clogged oil control solenoid, or using oil that is too thick. It's challenging to diagnose on your own, but start by checking the oil you're using. However, the damage may already be done. Get your camshaft and crankshaft sensors tested to pinpoint the problem, especially if you're experiencing rough engine performance.

The P0011 code on a Chevy Cruze indicates that there is an issue with the timing of the intake cam position being too advanced on Bank 1.
After discovering that my turbo was cracked, I received the P0011 code. However, replacing the turbo fixed the problem.
In my situation, the issue turned out to be a damaged head gasket.
