Several car manufacturers have stopped including CD players in their entertainment systems, and Toyota is among them. Despite what you may have heard, however, the CD player is still an option for the base models of the 2016 Toyota RAV4. The higher-end models with upgraded entertainment systems no longer come with a CD player. Depending on your specific configuration, you may or may not have a CD player in your car. It's a good idea to consider moving away from CDs in 2021; the '16 RAV4 could be one of the last new cars you buy that still offers this feature. With the ability to store hundreds or thousands of CDs on a single USB drive or even more on an MP3 player or most smartphones, CDs are becoming obsolete like cassettes. It's time to embrace newer technology options.
The 2016 Toyota RAV4 does not come equipped with a CD player. To add this feature, you would have to install a custom head unit.
