The Toyota Vehicle Control System (VCS) warning system is designed to assist you in maintaining control of your vehicle in challenging situations. If you choose to deactivate it, you can maneuver your vehicle without any restrictions if it happens to be stuck. In such a scenario where you need to quickly move, you would activate the VCS Off feature. To disable the system, locate and press the VCS Off button near the gear selector, which will also deactivate TRAC. If you have done this correctly, you will see the TRAC OFF indicator illuminate on your dashboard display. To re-enable the system, simply press the button again.
In vehicles, VSC stands for stability control, which is a system that helps manage your car's suspension and brakes during sudden turns or stops. The VSC light comes on when the computer senses an issue, so it's a good idea to also pay attention to the engine light.
