This fluid is vital for transferring power in the steering system, making it easier to turn the wheels. To check the fluid level, first turn off the vehicle and allow it to cool down. Wipe clean the reservoir cap to prevent dirt from entering. Remove the cap, clean the dipstick, replace and tighten the cap, then remove it again to check the fluid level on the dipstick.
