There are two variations of the 3.5L V6 engine in the 2008 Honda Odyssey - the J35A6 and the J35A7. The main difference between them is that the J35A7, used in the EX-L and Touring trim levels, features variable cylinder management for improved fuel economy. On the other hand, the J35A6, found in all other trim levels, does not have this technology. Despite some online criticism of the VCM feature in the Odyssey, opting for the J35A6 might allow you to avoid dealing with its potential drawbacks.

The code J35A6 found in a 2008 Honda Odyssey indicates that it is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine.
