The 2013 Toyota Matrix comes with a standard cargo area of 19.8 cubic feet, which can be significantly expanded by folding down the rear seats to a spacious 49.4 cubic feet. While the Matrix is a compact car, so it may not be the top choice for carrying heavy loads, it still performs well in comparison to other compact cars in terms of cargo space. Another trick to increase cargo space is by slightly tilting the front passenger seat forward. Opening the windows and letting bulky items with awkward angles stick out a bit can also help accommodate items like TV boxes more easily.
The Toyota Matrix has around 20 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are up, and almost 50 cubic feet with the seats folded down.
