In a 2003 Ford Expedition with a 4.6 liter engine, the fuel pump relay is attached to the motherboard inside the passenger compartment fuse block. When this relay malfunctions, dealers or repair shops often suggest replacing the entire fuse box, which can cost upwards of $800 (including parts and labor). If you have soldering skills, you can save a significant amount of money by removing the fuse box, desoldering the relay, and disconnecting the connectors and power source. Don't be concerned about mixing up the connectors as they each only fit one plug.
This can typically be found in the car's fuse box, just like in the majority of vehicles.
