The 2008 Chevy Colorado has its under hood fuse box positioned on the driver's side of the engine bay near the firewall at the front of the vehicle. You can locate it before reaching the battery. By removing the cover, you'll uncover a detailed diagram specifying which part each fuse corresponds to and its amp rating. Inside the box, there's a handy tool known as a "puller" that allows you to remove a malfunctioning fuse and install a new one. The brake light fuse or relay should be easily identifiable in this fuse box. If replacing the fuse doesn't fix the brake light issue, it might be due to a faulty wiring harness or wiring, or a blown bulb.
