In a 2007 Ford Escape, the horn is located behind the grille on the left side of the emblem. This is the part that creates the noise when you use the horn on your steering wheel. If the horn is not working properly, the first step is to inspect the wiring at the horn assembly. Ensure that the connections are secure and there are no damaged wires that could lead to a malfunction. You can also test the horn by supplying 12 volts directly to it to see if it produces a sound. If it doesn't, the assembly may be defective and require replacement with a new one.
