In a 2011 Ford Edge, the oil pressure sensor is typically located at the rear top of the engine block, situated on the back of the valve cover. You can identify it by following the wires that lead to the back of the sensor. If the oil pressure sensor malfunctions, it will usually trigger the check engine light in your vehicle. In such a case, it is advisable to inspect the wiring connecting to the sensor to ensure it is securely attached and undamaged. Additionally, check the sensor itself for any obstructions that may hinder its ability to accurately read oil pressures.
Typically, you can find the oil pressure sensor positioned at the rear and upper part of the engine bay, securely fastened onto the engine block. It is linked to the vehicle's computer/electrical system via an electrical connector.
