In the 2011 Ford Escape, you can find the traction control button on the bottom right of the center console instrument panel. It's represented by a car symbol with two wavy lines behind it and the word "off". If you find yourself stuck in snow, mud, or sand, deactivating the traction control could be beneficial since allowing the wheels to spin might help you maneuver out of the situation. With the traction control off, you will have full engine power, providing you with more momentum to escape. To turn off the traction control, simply press the traction control off button located as mentioned. It will revert back to its original state if you press the button again or when you turn off and restart your engine.
The button to control traction on a 2011 Ford Escape can be found in the lower right corner of the dashboard or center console.
I reside in West Virginia, which is famous for its muddy roads and snowy weather. My trusty vehicle, which I've owned for 13 years and driven for 160,990 miles, has never encountered any issues except for having to replace the starter.
