For your 2011 Nissan Altima, the amount of oil it needs depends on the type of engine it has. If it has the standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, you'll need 4.9 US quarts with the filter included. If it has the larger 3.5L V6 engine, you'll need 5.1 US quarts with the filter included. Both engines require 5W-30 synthetic motor oil. The oil drain plug size for both models is 14mm. If you have a torque wrench, set it to 25 ft-lbs to remove the plug.
I was informed by the Nissan dealership that Havoline 5w30 is the recommended oil.
You should use authentic Nissan Engine Oil from a Nissan dealer for your 2011 Nissan Altima. If you don't have Nissan oil, you can use SAE 5W-30 oil with the API Certification Mark. The QR25DE engine needs 4.8 quarts (4.6 liters) of oil, while the VQ35DE engine requires 5.1 quarts (4.8 liters).
I am unsure.
