In order to change the oil in a 2013 Kia Optima SX Turbo, use 5W-20 oil. To start, wait a couple of hours after the car has been turned off to ensure the oil is not too hot. Locate the oil pan and drain plug under the car. Place a bucket beneath the plug and remove it to allow the oil to drain. Wait until it stops dripping, which may take about an hour. Replace the drain plug, then find the oil pan's intake port on top. Use a funnel to refill the oil pan to the full level, avoiding overfilling to prevent leaks and excess burning. Once filled, close the port, clean any spills, and the job is complete.
The 2013 Kia Optima SX Turbo can be filled with regular motor oil, but for optimal performance, it is recommended to use 5W-40 synthetic oil.
