The kind of oil recommended for the 2007 Toyota Tundra varies depending on the engine size. The 4.0 L V6 and 4.7 L V8 engines should use 5W-30 Synthetic oil in all climates, while the 5.7 L V8 engine should use 5W-20 Synthetic oil in all conditions. The oil capacity for each engine is 4.8 quarts with a filter for the 4.0 L V6, 6.6 quarts with a filter for the 4.7 L V8, and 7.4 quarts with a filter for the 5.7 L V8 engine. Regular oil changes are important for maintaining a clean and well-functioning engine in the Tundra, with intervals recommended every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, as oil deteriorates over time.
The 2007 Toyota Tundra offers three engine choices. The 4.0L V6 base engine requires 4.8 quarts of 5W30 oil, while the optional 4.7L V8 engine needs 6.6 quarts of the same oil. The largest engine option, the 5.7L V8, requires 7.4 quarts of either 0W20 or 5W20 oil. All three engines must use synthetic oil.
