The 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC-Class came with three engine options. The base model had a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, while you could upgrade to a 3.0L V6 or a 4.0L V8. All three engines required either 0W-30 or 0W-40 synthetic oil. The main difference between them was their oil capacities. The base and 3.0L engines had a capacity of 6.9 US quarts, whereas the 4.0L engine needed a larger amount, with a capacity of 9.5 US quarts for a full oil fill including the filter.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is designed to use either full synthetic oil rated SAE 0W-30 or 0W-40. Its 2.0L 4-cylinder engine can hold up to 7.4 quarts of oil.
