In the 2009 Cadillac XTS, all seven trims come with the same 3.6L V6 engine. There are two different engine codes (LFx and LGX), but they don't matter for regular use. The car needs 6 quarts of SAE 5W-30 full synthetic motor oil, although SAE 5W-40 conventional oil can be used temporarily. If you live in a place where temperatures drop below -20 degrees Fahrenheit, it's best to use SAE 0W-30. Avoid using SAE 5W-40 for an extended period because it can break down and lead to faster engine wear, especially in cold weather. Even if it costs a bit more, sticking with SAE 5W-30 will help your engine run efficiently for a longer time.
A 2019 Cadillac XT5 is equipped with a powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine, which performs optimally when using synthetic oil of SAE 5W-30 grade. The engine can hold up to 6 quarts of oil when changing with a new filter.
