In the 2018 Chrysler 300, you can choose from three different engines depending on your preferred configuration. You may have a 3.6L FlexFuel V6 engine, a 3.6L naturally aspirated gasoline V6 engine, or a 5.7L V8 engine. For both 3.6L engine options, you will need 5.9 quarts of SAE 5W-20 full synthetic motor oil. For the larger V8 engine, you'll require 7.0 quarts of the same type of oil. While you can technically use SAE 5W-30 synthetic oil as a substitute for all these engines, it's not recommended. Thicker oils like SAE 5W-30 create more friction, which can cause premature wear and tear on your engine over time, reducing its lifespan.
