For the 2006 Toyota Sequoia, the manufacturer advises using either Dexron II or III power steering fluid, or you can opt for Toyota's OEM power steering fluid. The cost for a quart of this fluid typically ranges between $7 and $15. Under the hood, towards the front of the engine bay on the passenger side, you’ll find the power steering fluid reservoir. Look for a black cap marked with a steering wheel symbol. To check the fluid level, observe the markers on the edge of the reservoir, which will tell you if you need to add more fluid or if it’s already at the proper level.
The type of power steering fluid recommended for the 2006 Toyota Sequoia is Prestone's brand of power steering fluid.
