If you have a Toyota RAV4, you will likely need a 6mm x 25mm screw with a 1mm thread, regardless of the year. It's common for the factory screws to rust, so consider upgrading to stainless steel replacements. You can get a box of 100 of these screws for about $17, which may be more than you need but could be worth it. If you also need a license plate bracket, expect to pay around $38 from the official Toyota Parts site — interestingly, the bracket doesn't come with the screws! This could be a good opportunity to add some flair to the frame by upgrading the screws as well.
The dimensions for the license plate screw of a 2017 Toyota RAV4 are 6 millimeters in diameter, with a thread pitch of 1.0 and a length of 25 millimeters.
Certainly! In American terms, the specifications would be a 6mm bolt with a 1.0mm thread size and a length of 25mm, denoted as M6-1.0 x 25mm.
Our Rav 4 has a front hole that is M6-1.0 and another that is slightly smaller, which is quite unusual. The rear plate holes are also smaller, but I couldn't determine their actual size as I couldn't test multiple bolts on the car. Instead, I improvised and used some drywall anchors and screws that I had on hand.
