For the Chevy Impala, the bolt size for the blend door actuator is 5/32. This actuator is a compact electric motor equipped with sensors linked to your vehicle's climate control system. When you modify the temperature or airflow intensity, the signals travel through this actuator. Symptoms of a malfunctioning blend door actuator can include hearing a ticking noise from the dashboard upon starting the car or experiencing issues like the heater blowing cold air or the AC blowing hot air. A common cause of actuator failure is the breakage of a fragile plastic gear set.
I just removed the one located next to the radio inside the glove compartment of my 2012 Impala. The fitting socket size is 5.5mm, which I believe is the equivalent of 5/32 inches.

For my 2011 Impala, I used a 7/32, but it was a little loose. A 5.5mm is probably the right size.
5.5 millimeters
What's the length of the bolts in the actuator?
Could you identify which actuator is malfunctioning? It seems to be located near the glove compartment. My car is a 2008 model.
Hey Caysay, do you understand the difference between the length of a bolt and its head size?
It’s 2022, and it’s still at 5.5mm, which is pretty funny!
