The 2013 Ram 2500 series features a hefty 1 and 11/16 inch axle nut that secures the wheel hub to the axle. To remove this large nut, you'll probably have to head to an auto specialty tool shop to find the right socket. Taking off the axle nut from a truck typically requires an impact driver due to how tightly it's installed to keep the wheel hubs in place. When putting it back on, it's recommended to use a ratchet and sockets with a long handle for proper torque tightening.
The nut on the axle measures 1 11/16 inches, while the three bolts (not nuts) are 14 mm with 12 points on the 2013 Ram 2500 truck.
